- AIG is the insurer of the helicopter that crashed in London on Wednesday, resulting in the death of two people and injuries to a further 13.

- Gibraltar based insurer De Vert Insurance has gone bust, with the police undertaken an investigation amid fraud accusations. De Vert is the third insurer in Gibraltar to go bust in the past nine months.
