News Update - 31st August 2012

- Romney accepts the republican nomination at its convention. Mitt Romney gets the job as the leader of the republican party in the USA and states that its 'time to turn the page' the film star Clint Eastwood also spoke at the convention saying he was supporting Mitt Romney.

- GB gets its first Gold medal in Paralympics games in track cycling with Sarah Storey, breaking her own world record.

- Julian Assange the wikileaks owner, still fighting his extradition to Sweden in connection with a claim that he was involved in sexual assault may be facing up to a year of living in the Ecuador Embassy as at present William Hague the foreign secretary said there is no solution in sight.

- The battle over Apples intellectual property took a blow in the Japanese courts in Tokyo yesterday as they stated that Samsung electronics did not infringe Apples IP.

- Data on police compromised at Hertfordshire police after hackers seemed to obtain information such as login details and passwords for dozens of officers.
