Open GI Considering Powerplace - 14th December 2012

- The E-trading platform run by Powerplace maybe up for sale and open GI could be the buyer.
Powerplace is owned by Towergate Insurance and has 1000 broker and already works with open GI. Who are also ultimately controlled by Towergate.

- Dan Wilkinson joins RSA from Willis UK to help them sort out their mid market Commercial Insurance portfolio.

- Jelf puts in a good result performance this year paying its first ever dividend and eradicating its not debt intuition.

- CFC win MGA of the year at Insurance Times awards 2012.

- Business Insurance 24 7 obtain Luna Planet Award for the best technology in 2012. The company specialises in SME Insurance platforms and focuses on profession type risks such as Professional Indemnity Insurance and Directors and Officers covers together with Commercial Combined Insurance products.

- The guy who set up Brit Insurance Neil Eckert joins Gallagher's as one of the companies non-executive Directors.

- NUF looses their Aberdeen team to Towergate.

- Professional Insurance Agents Ltd look towards strengthening their international broking and marketing team and have appoint 2 new staff to start in 2013 offering SME products to Canada, Netherlands, New Zealand, and France other countries to follow concentrating on Financial Lines, Professional Indemnity Insurance and Directors and Officers Insurance covers together with Commercial Lines and some retail products all of which will be sold via their software Multiquote and Buy platforms.
